Chick-fil-A Atlanta Named Title Partner of Peachtree Junior as Race Moves to Lenox Square

ATLANTA - March 26, 2025 - Peachtree Junior is on the move. Atlanta Track Club announced today that Atlanta-area Chick-fil-A Restaurants will be the new title partner of the Chick-fil-A Peachtree Junior as the event shifts from Piedmont Park to Lenox Square, marking one of the most significant changes in race history.

This move will give young participants the chance to begin their race on July 3 under the same iconic starting line truss as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race on July 4. It's part of a larger effort to create a multi-day celebration at Lenox Square, bringing together the Chick-fil-A Peachtree Junior, the Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo presented by Publix and the start of the Peachtree in one central location.

"For the first time, Peachtree Junior isn't just a standalone race—it's part of an immersive Peachtree experience," said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club and race director of the Peachtree. "From July 2 to July 4, Lenox Square and Peachtree Road will be buzzing with excitement as runners of all ages take over the streets, snap photos at the starting line and celebrate Atlanta's biggest running tradition."

To support this expanded experience, Peachtree Road will be closed from Lenox Parkway to Lenox Road from 12 a.m. on July 2 until 11 a.m. on July 4, creating a true multi-day celebration.

The Chick-fil-A Peachtree Junior will feature an out-and-back mile course for ages 6-14, starting and finishing at Lenox Square. The Dash will also utilize the iconic start line of the Peachtree.

Registration opens April 1 alongside Peachtree registration and will remain free for all participants. The first 3,000 registrants are guaranteed a medal and an adidas shirt.

The partnership between Atlanta-area Chick-fil-A Restaurants and Atlanta Track Club began in 2023 as a multi-year commitment to the support all events and programs, with a focus on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race and the Club's free-to-all Kilometer Kids program, which introduces thousands of children to running each year.

"Chick-fil-A restaurants in Atlanta are proud to partner with the Peachtree Junior to create an unforgettable experience for participants," said Chris Liberatore, local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Calhoun. "We're excited to support Peachtree Junior, helping to inspire young runners, build community, and celebrate movement."

Beyond the Mile and Dash, families can look forward to a festival atmosphere, featuring mascot appearances from Pete the Peach, The Cows and The Home Depot tools, a coloring station and photo opportunities. After crossing the finish line, participants and their families are invited to continue the celebration at the Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo presented by Publix, which opens at 10 a.m. in the Lenox Square Macy's parking lot.
