ATLANTA – March 25, 2014 – Atlanta Track Club announced today that special charity entries for the 2014 AJC Peachtree Road Race are now available. Those who did not register in the online lottery or who were not selected for the 2014 event can purchase a charity number to benefit Kilometer Kids, Atlanta Track Club’s youth running program.
“The AJC Peachtree Road Race charity entries provide a unique opportunity to participate in one of Atlanta’s most beloved traditions while giving back to the community through which we run,” said Rich Kenah, Atlanta Track Club’s executive director. “Money raised from these entries will help more children learn healthy habits through Atlanta Track Club’s Kilometer Kids program.”
A limited number of 2014 AJC Peachtree Road Race charity numbers will be available through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 20. The special entries are $150 each, $115 of which is tax deductible and will go directly to the Kilometer Kids program. Kilometer Kids is a youth running program that inspires children to achieve health and fitness through a fun and supportive running program, empowering them to make smart lifestyle choices. The special charity entries are only available to those who are not already registered for the event. Those who purchase these entries will automatically be placed in start wave E unless a finish time that qualifies for an earlier start wave is provided.
