ATLANTA – December 1, 2016 – Want to see your artwork on the front of 60,000 Mizuno T-shirts? Enter the 2017 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt Design Contest!Atlanta Track Club is accepting submissions for the 2017 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt Design Contest through February 10, 2017. Each year, students, professional designers and amateur creatives enter the competition in hopes of having their artwork featured on the highly coveted AJC Peachtree Road Race finisher T-shirts. In addition to bragging rights, the winning designer receives $1,000. The four runners-up are awarded $100 each.Shay Harbaugh, a Cumming, Georgia, resident and junior art director, won the 2016 design contest with her “Heart & Sole” submission. She wanted her artwork to capture include three themes: pride, heart and soul.“With every step the runners take in the race, they are putting their heart and soul into getting to the finish line,” she explained.Five finalists will be chosen in February by a panel of judges. The public will then vote to determine the winning design at AJC.com/peachtree from February 22 through March 22. Voting is permitted once per day. The winning design will be unveiled at the finish line of the 2017 AJC Peachtree Road Race.All designs for the 2017 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt Design Contest must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on February 10, 2017.
