ATLANTA--January 6, 2015--James Balke celebrates his wedding anniversary every year on the Fourth of July. For 2014's anniversary, he had something additional to celebrate: winning the 2014 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt design competition.
Balke's entry was one of five final designs chosen last year, and in line with tradition, the winner wasn't revealed until the first runner of the 2014 AJC Peachtree Road Race crossed the finish line.
Entries for the 2015 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt design competition are being accepted beginning January 6, 2015, through February 28, 2015. Each year, students, professional designers and amateur creatives enter the AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt design competition in hopes of having their artwork be the one that graces the front of 60,000 AJC Peachtree Road Race finisher t-shirts. The winning designer receives $1000, and the four runners up, $100 each. One new aspect to this year’s contest is that all designs will need to be submitted as digital files. Although print versions were the means for entry in previous years, only digital files will be accepted moving forward.
