2025 Wingfoot Meet of Champions

Wingfoot Meet of Champions will see Georgia's best jumpers, throwers and runners go head-to-head on Friday-Saturday, May 16-17 to determine the best athlete in the state across 13 disciplines. The meet follows the legacy and tradition of the former Meet of Champions with many of the coaches who made that meet a success, lending their time and expertise to the new meet.

This event is open only to Georgia High School athletes. The season's Georgia State Champions receive guaranteed entry in their respective disciplines. Remaining spots will be filled by athletes who achieve the meet's qualifying standards linked below. Each event will be capped at 12 athletes, with 16 entered in the 800M, Mile, and 3200.

Registration opens on Milesplit - March 3, 2025

Be a part of the 2025 adidas Atlanta City Games! Beginning at 7:00 p.m. over in Piedmont Park, the stars of track & field will compete on a 200-meter raised track. The event is FREE to the public and will feature The Meet of Champions Top 5 Finalists in the 100M, 200M, 100M High Hurdles, and 110M High Hurdles as part of the adidas Atlanta City Games broadcast.

Event Schedule

2025 Event Schedule will be finalized soon....

  • Track Events - Distance - Friday evening - 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Field Events - Saturday - 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Track Events - Sprints - Saturday - 12 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

*Track Events are two heats except the Mile & 3200m races

**Field events will be contested in one flight. Vertical jumps will be contested as five alive format.

Qualification

Up to 12 athletes (16 in the distances) will compete in each of the 13 events. There are two ways to qualify to compete

  • All State champions will receive guaranteed entry into their events
  • Achieve the Auto qualifying standard
  • Achieve the minimum qualifying standard*

*Athletes who achieve the minimum qualifying standard must register for the event on ga.milesplit.com, but this does NOT guarantee their selection into the event.

Registration & Selection

Athletes who achieve the minimum qualifying standard may register for the event prior to the Georgia State Championships. Completing the registration form only confirms your intent to compete, but does not guarantee your selection. Only Georgia State Champions and Auto Qualifiers are guaranteed entry. Minimum standard qualifiers will fill the remaining field of competitors.

*All competitors must reside in Georgia to qualify

Steps to Compete:

  • Achieve the minimum or auto standard in your event
  • Register to compete on ga.milesplit.com
  • Await the state championship qualifiers (guaranteed entry)
  • The remaining spots will be selected based on season best to fill the field in each event.

Initial start lists will be announced on Tuesday, May 13. Start Lists will be made final Thursday, May 15. Alternates will be notified as soon as possible.
