2025 Spring Fling Mile & Dash

The Spring Fling Mile & Dash will take place on Saturday, May 17. This FREE youth event is designed for kids ages 14 and under. This event is open to the public, and it will also be the culminating event of the season for all Kilometer Kids Teams. Held at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, kids 6-14 can run a mile on the paved paths in the park. (Kilometer Kids who are 5 years old will also be able to register for the Mile through a link provided to their coach). Dashers (6& under) will sprint through the large grass lawn for 50 meters. This final event will also have a Kilometer Kids Coaches/Parents wave for current coaches and parents of Kilometer Kids. Join us and celebrate the love of running!

Course Information

The mile course will utilize the tree-lined paths within the Piedmont Park. Course monitors will be stationed along the route for participant safety. A lead runner or cyclist will ensure kids start properly. The dash will take place in the grassy Meadow. (No adults on the course please, except course monitors!)

For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, no headphones, pets or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including roller/inline skates, and bicycles are permitted on the course.

Race Day Registration

Race Day Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., if the event has not reached capacity. We anticipate the event WILL reach capacity prior to event day, so please plan ahead.

Deadline to register: online through 11:59 p.m., May 16, 2025, or until event reaches capacity.

Timing & Results

Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is a MyLaps timing tag. The device is adhered to the back of your race number. DO NOT REMOVE OR BEND. Wearing your race number improperly could result in improper scoring and possible disqualification. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your race number is:

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, water bottles, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

Parking

Parking options include: Sage Parking Deck and Park Tavern; regular parking rates apply. There is also ample legal street parking in the area. More parking options may become available closer to race day.

Do not park in the Midtown Promenade (Trader Joe's) parking lot; towing is enforced and happens frequently.
