2025 Firefighter 5K

Join us for the Firefighter 5K, hosted by Atlanta's Bravest on September 6! Lace up your running shoes and hit the streets of Atlanta to show your support for our city's fearless firefighters and first responders. This family-friendly event is a chance to run with purpose while benefiting the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation. Register now and be part of this exciting new tradition!

Course Information

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)

For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, no headphones, pets or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including roller/inline skates, and bicycles are permitted on the course.

Race Day Registration

  • Online registration will close on Friday, September 5th at 9:00 PM
  • There will be On-site Registration if there are spots available.

T-shirt sizing and availability cannot be guaranteed for those registering on race day.

Atlanta Track Club intends to hold the Firefighter 5K as scheduled on September 6, 2025. If the format of the event moves to virtual ONLY or is cancelled all together, you will be given the option to receive a full refund (less processing fees from registration vendor). If, due to COVID-19, the location of the event has to be changed, refunds will not be provided, but you will be immediately notified via email and social media.

Timing & Results

  • Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

    Your timing device for this event is the MYLAPS ThinTag placed on the back of your bib. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...

    • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
    • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
    • Pinned in all four corners
    • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Race Number Pickup

Firefighter 5K number pickup will be held race morning beginning at 6:30 a.m. T-shirts for the 5K will be distributed after you cross the finish line.

Public transportation is highly encouraged. Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 1 is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Five Points MARTA Station.

Awards

Overall awards are based on gun time and overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are based upon net time.

  • Overall and masters champions
  • Age Group Awards for the top three men, women and non-binary in each age group (10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 5-year increments up to 90 & older).
