2024 April Midweek Mile & Dash

The Midweek Mile & Dash is a FREE youth event designed for kids ages 14 and under.

All participants can have fun in the Track & Field Zone with Atlanta Track Club's elite athletes while parents learn more about our youth events and youth programming in the information tent. This is the second of three spring midweek mile & dash events (March 13, April 10, May 8). Challenge yourself throughout the spring to improve your performances with each event!

Atlanta Track Club events are held rain or shine. However, the threat of lightning or other severe weather in the vicinity of the event may result in a delay or cancellation. For full details on our event policies, including weather, refunds and cancellations, click here.

Course Information

The mile course will utilize the winding, tree-lined path within the park. Course monitors will be stationed along the route for participant safety. A lead runner or cyclist will ensure kids start properly. The dash will take place in the grassy common area near the park pavilion. (No adults on the course please, except course monitors!)

For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, no headphones, pets or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including roller/inline skates, and bicycles are permitted on the course.

Race Day Registration begins at 5:00 p.m.

Deadline to register: online through 11:59 p.m., April 9, 2024

Timing & Results

Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is a MyLaps timing tag. The device is adhered to the back of your race number. DO NOT REMOVE OR BEND. Wearing your race number improperly could result in improper scoring and possible disqualification. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your race number is:

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

Parking

Blackburn Park has plenty of parking. You can also utilize the shopping center parking across Ashford Dunwoody Rd. If parking offsite, please utilize the crosswalks to cross safely and legally.

Outside the Perimeter: Silver Comet Trail (Smyrna/Austell/Powder Springs), Chattahoochee National Recreation Area - Cochran Shoals Unit (Atlanta), Garrard Landing Park (Roswell), Alpharetta Greenway, Big Creek Greenway, Swift Cantrell Park (Kennesaw), Fowler Park (Cumming), Newtown Park (John's Creek), and any local track that is open to the public
