2023 Hawks Fast Break 5K presented by Sharecare

Join Harry the Hawk, the Flight Crew, ATL Boom, 404 Crew, the ATL Dancers, Host Shamea, and DJ MoHawk as you make your way around State Farm Arena at the 2023 Hawks Fast Break 5K presented by Sharecare. Registration includes FREE race day parking, a long-sleeve adidas shirt, and a $25 voucher to use toward a ticket to a Hawks game.

Vouchers are eligible for any Atlanta Hawks home game beginning on 1/11/2023. Please see below for that list of games where the $25 voucher can fully cover a ticket starting 1/21/2023.

  • Monday, March 13th vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Tuesday, March 21st vs. Detroit Pistons
  • Saturday, March 25th vs. Indiana Pacers
  • Tuesday, March 28th vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Wednesday, April 5th vs. Washington Wizards

Participants will receive a ticketing email roughly one week after registering. The email will contain a unique voucher code and instructions for redemption. The runner's voucher may be applied towards any qualifying game offering a $25 ticket, any other game selected would require participants to pay the remaining difference.

*Participants can purchase additional tickets upon redemption of runner voucher.

Free parking is not available for those registering on race day.

T-shirt sizing and availability cannot be guaranteed for those registering on race day.

Atlanta Track Club intends to hold the Hawks Fast Break 5K presented by Sharecare at State Farm Arena as scheduled on March 11, 2023. If the format of the event moves to virtual ONLY or is cancelled all together, you will be given the option to receive a full refund (less processing fees from registration vendor). If, due to COVD-19, the location of the event has to be changed, refunds will not be provided, but you will be immediately notified via email and social media.

TIMING & RESULTS

Unofficial results are available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is:

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

COURSE

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)

    Any participant still on the course after the course time limit is reached will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not have event services available.

    For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course. Headphones are strongly discouraged.

PARKING / ARRIVAL

All participants are encouraged to utilize MARTA on race morning! The MARTA Blue and Green lines drop off at State Farm Arena at the GWCC/CNN Center stop.

For those planning to drive race morning, please allocate extra time to arrive as there are multiple events occurring in downtown Atlanta. Parking for participants is located in the "Sapphire Deck". For directions, please utilize the Waze app and enter "Sapphire Deck - State Farm Arena". Participants must enter using the entrance on Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW.

AGE LIMITS

  • 5K: Ages 8 & older

PARTICIPANT ACCOUNT

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with your participant account from haku. There you'll find your race category and distance, start wave, and check-in pass. You can switch distances, change your category to virtual, and edit your emergency contact information.

NUMBER/T-SHIRT PICKUP

Number pickup will take place the morning of the event beginning at 6:30 a.m. T-shirts will be distributed after the event.

GEAR CHECK FOR MARTA PASSENGERS


Participants utilizing MARTA to travel to/from the event are invited to check gear at a special "MARTA Passenger Gear Check" located at the volunteer check-in table at State Farm Arena. Show your MARTA Breeze card and check your warm clothes for safe keeping until after the event. Open to MARTA passengers only.

GAME TICKETS

Your 5K entry comes with one (1) $25 ticket voucher to use toward any Hawks home game from the time you register until the end of the regular season.

After registration, you will be emailed a unique voucher code as well as instructions for redemption directly from the Hawks. Ticket vouchers are sent to new registrants each week. You will be able to add additional tickets at a discounted rate when you redeem your participant ticket. If you want to ensure that you sit beside fellow runners, please coordinate your purchases or redeem your vouchers simultaneously. Upon redemption, details will be emailed to you on how to access your ticket(s) through the Hawks App.

Please note that all games will be made available but select games may be more expensive. Please see above for a list of games with $25 seats available.

  • Overall male, female and non-binary
  • Masters male, female, and non-binary
  • Age Group Awards for the top three males, females, and non-binary in each age group for the 5K (10 & younger, 11-14, 5-year increments up to 90 & older).

MARTA

State Farm Arena is accessible via the MARTA Blue or Green lines at the GWCC/CNN stop and will drop you directly at the check-in location for the event.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS

Those selecting the Virtual Hawks Fast Break 5K race option will be asked to complete their race between Friday, March 10, 2023, and Sunday, March 12, 2023. Results must be submitted by Monday, March 13, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.

Virtual participants will receive a race bib and adidas T-shirt. Virtual participants who register before Monday, March 6 at 11:59 p.m. will have their swag items shipped to them prior to event day. Those registering after the deadline will have their race kit sent after the event.

EVENT SECURITY

Anyone entering the arena with a bag, including a fanny pack or race belt, will be subject to a bag check. It is highly encouraged that all bags be left at home or in your vehicle. Also, no outside food or drink is allowed inside the arena other than those given to runners at the finish of the event.
