Join us as we celebrate women and fitness at the Northside Hospital Atlanta Women's 5K on Saturday, March 26, 2022 for a day designed for women. Atlanta Track Club is excited to bring the event back to the refurbished Cheney Stadium which served as the warm-up facility for track and field athletes at the 1996 Olympic Games. With the finishers medals, flowers at the finish line and a short-sleeve women's-cut performance shirt, the Northside Hospital Atlanta Women's 5K is the perfect event for women and girls ages 8 & older.

T-shirt sizing and availability cannot be guaranteed for those registering on race day.

Atlanta Track Club intends to hold the Northside Hospital Atlanta Women's 5K at Cheney Stadium as scheduled on March 26, 2022. If the format of the event moves to virtual ONLY or is cancelled all together, you will be given the option to receive a full refund (less processing fees from registration vendor). If, due to COVD-19, the location of the event has to be changed, refunds will not be provided, but you will be immediately notified via email and social media.

TIMING & RESULTS

Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

Course

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)

Any participant still on the course after the course time limit is reached will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not have event services available.

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no pets, or wheeled conveyances such as baby joggers, strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course. Headphones are strongly discouraged.

NUMBER/T-SHIRT PICKUP

Early Number Pick-Up: Make race day a breeze, visit Cheney Stadium for early number pick-up on Friday, March 25: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Race Day Number Pick-Up: Will take place the morning of the event beginning at 6:30 a.m. T-shirts will be distributed at the same location after the event.

AWARDS

Overall awards are based on gun time and overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Team and age group awards are based upon net time.

  • Overall, masters, and grandmasters champions
  • Age Group Awards for the top three women in each age group for the 5K (10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 5-year increments up to 90 & older).

ATHLETES WITH DISABILITIES

In order to serve all our athletes, Atlanta Track Club offers opportunities for Athletes with Disabilities (AWD). If you are an AWD and interested in participating in Northside Hospital Atlanta Women's 5K, please email awd@atlantatrackclub.org, to discuss what reasonable accommodations can be made based on your specific needs. Atlanta Track Club officials will provide reasonable accommodation to Athletes with Disabilities on an individualized and event by event basis.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS

Those selecting the Virtual Northside Hospital 5K race option will be asked to complete and submit their race between Friday, March 25, 2022 and Sunday March, 27, 2022. Results must be submitted by Monday, March 28, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Virtual participants will have the opportunity to download a bib online via their haku account.

Those that register prior to Thursday, March 17 will have their items shipped to them prior to event day. Participants will receive tracking information via UPS when their items ship.

Virtual participants will receive a link via email on Friday, March 25th to the submit their results. Results can also be submitted by logging into their haku account.

NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL ATLANTA WOMEN'S 5K ELITE RACE

There will be a Women's 5K Elite Race at Cheney Stadium on race day at 7:30 a.m. Come early and cheer these athletes on as they compete! To see the course map they'll be running, click HERE.

PARKING

Free parking will be available for the event HERE. Please plan to arrive early as the Women's 5K Elite Race could cause traffic delays around Cheney Stadium from 7:15 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.

STROLLERS

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no pets or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates and bicycles are permitted on the 5K course.
