The fourth annual Wingfoot XC Classic will feature One Mile, 3K and 5K races on grass, dirt and gravel. The course will be a unique single loop with traditional European cross country elements such as hay bales or logs. There will be two sessions. High school races will be held in the morning. The evening session will feature the free One Mile as part of the Kilometer Kids Youth Running Series, the community 5K which welcomes runners and walkers, part of the Grand Prix Series presented by Piedmont Healthcare, and the 3K middle school races.

Kilometer Kids Mile

Online registration for the Kilometer Kids Mile opens August 23 and closes September 20, 2018 at 11:59 p.m.

Race Day registration for the Kilometer Kids Mile is available onsite beginning at 5:30 p.m. Deadline to register and be timed is 6:30 p.m.

Middle School Unattached

Online registration for the Middle School Unattached 3K opens August 22 and closes September 20, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. No race day registration

​Community 5K registration

Online registration for the Community 5K closes September 20, 2018 at 11:59 p.m.

Race Day registration for the Community 5K is available onsite beginning at 5:30 p.m. Deadline to register and be timed is 7:00 p.m.

The 5K is part of Atlanta Track Club's 2018 Grand Prix Series presented by Piedmont Healthcare and is free for Atlanta Track Club members/$10 for non-members.

Timing & Results

The race will be professionally chip timed with timing mats at every mile in addition to the finish line. The race will be NFHS and GHSA sanctioned for Georgia schools and other states upon request.

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

Course

Community race course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course.
