2014 Atlanta 10 Miler and Atlanta 5K

In its second year, the Atlanta 10 Miler features an exciting new course that starts and finishes inside Atlantic Station! As the featured second stop for Triple Peach participants, this event is a perfect next step after the AJC Peachtree Road Race and a great final tune-up for the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day. If you aren’t quite ready for the 10 Miler, come on out and join us for the Atlanta 5K presented by American Family Insurance.

Taking you to places most races in Atlanta don't. Join us on October 26, 2014 and you'll take in unbeatable skyline views starting at Atlantic Station , the tree-lined streets of beautiful, residential Buckhead will guide you through the miles, bringing you to our beloved Peachtree Road and then back to Atlantic Station, taking in more city views along the way.

7:30 am Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K start in Atlantic Station

 


 

 

All 10 Miler finishers will receive a hooded, long-sleeve shirt and

suncatcher finisher's medal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5K finishers will receive a commemorative long sleeve t-shirt and

finisher's medal. 

 

 

 

 

 

Awards will be given on race day to the overall male and female finishers and to the first masters male, masters female, grandmasters male and grandmasters female finishers on race morning. Age group awards will be mailed to the top three finishers in each age division – 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+ (excluding the overall winners).  Awards will be mailed once results are finalized (approximately thirty days after the event).

Atlanta Track Club is awarding a $3,000 prize purse for the event. 

The overall winning male and female will each earn $600. There’s added incentive for Atlanta Track Club members to compete, as the amount awarded to the overall male and female doubles if the winner is also a club member. Prize money will also be awarded in the categories of Masters, Grandmasters, Atlanta Track Club Member, Atlanta Track Club Member-Masters and Atlanta Track Club Member- Grandmasters. Eligible participants can earn awards in multiple categories. To be eligible for Atlanta Track Club Member categories, the participant must be a member in good standing prior to October 26.

It's a celebration of community, a support system for the participants, and a fundraising platform for Atlanta's nonprofits.

Atlanta Track Club continues to support the running community and create an active and healthy Atlanta with the Adopt a Mile Program. The mission of the program is to generate course support for the Atlanta 10 Miler, while giving back to Atlanta's nonprofit organizations and neighborhood associations who are working on race day and throughout the year to promote health and fitness in the community.
