2015 Atlanta Women's 5K

Join us as we celebrate women and fitness at the Atlanta Women's 5K on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in for a day designed for women. With the special "stroller division" start for moms, finishers medals and flowers at the finish line and a women's-fit Mizuno performance shirt, the Atlanta Women's 5K is the perfect event for women and girls ages 8 & older.


Back on My Feet (BoMF) is the beneficiary for the 2015 Atlanta Women's 5K. BoMF is a national for-purpose 501(c)3 organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they can make real change in their lives that results in employment and independent living. Your support helps BoMF develop additional partnerships with facilities that support women and their families who are experiencing homelessness.

Providing that we have not reached race capacity, we will offer race day registration for this event.

  • Cost: $45 via cash or credit card
  • Deadline to register and be timed: 7:30 a.m.

T-shirt sizing and availability canot be guaranteed for those registering on race day.

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

COURSE

Atlanta Women's 5K Course Map 2015

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)

For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, no headphones or pets are permitted on the course. Strollers/baby joggers are permitted in the stroller division only, but roller/inline skates and bicycles are not permitted.

RACE NUMBER PICK UP

Early number pick-up will take place at West Stride on the Thursday and Friday before the event.

Only those who are registered by Monday, March 23, 2015 are guaranteed to have their number at early number pick-up.

FREE parking for early race number pick-up is available in the Church of the Apostles parking garage, directly adjacent to the West Stride shopping center.

  • Overall, masters, and grandmasters champions
  • Top three open teams
  • Top two masters teams
  • Top grandmasters team
  • Top Laura Murphy Award mother/daugher team
  • Top sister/sister team
  • Age Group Awards for the top three women in each age group for the 5K (14 & younger, 5-year increments up to 80 & older).

TEAM COMPETITION

  • Sister/Sister Team (two members)
  • Laura Murphy Award Mother/Daughter Team (two members)
  • Open Women Team (four members, any age)
  • Masters Women Team (four members, all members age 40+)
  • Grandmasters Women Team (four members, all members 50 )

Teams that are not full on race day will not be included in the team competition results. Teams will the fastest cumulative times within their division will win.

PARKING

Directions to the red parking lot at Chastain Park Ampitheater can be found HERE. Parking on event day is FREE in the red lot. Additional street parking is available in the surrounding area where permitted.
